NXT/GLASS/SPECTRON POLYCARBONATE
The NXT lens: Variations exist in Polar HD, Zebra, Camel, Octopus; this high technology lens possesses the optimum qualities for a plastic lens, thanks to a mineral-type manufacturing technique (poured at a very low temperature). Its transparency and stability over time are exceptional (no cracks). It is ultra-light, unbreakable and solvent proof. In addition, NXT enables pigments and films to be incorporated into the material (including light-sensitive treatment), and not just surface treatment.
The glass lens: Of superior optical quality and highly resistant to scratches and bumps, they are ideal for the desert and high altitudes. The Altitude Arc lens is the name for glacier goggles. The various lens treatments (anti-reflections, flash, active darkening principle) allow them to eliminate parasite reflections and reinforce filtering.
The Spectron Polycarbonate lens: Light but with excellent shock resistance, this versatile lens is suitable for all types of sports activities.
All Julbo lenses are optical class 1 and provide 100% protection against UVA, B and C rays.

The Polar HD lens offers superior optical quality and optimal transparency, and guarantees high precision vision. Polarizing and with an anti-reflect coating, it removes any visual disturbance or fatigue when driving, skiing, boating, near water, etc. Both light and unbreakable, it is also resistant over time and resistant to solvents.
The Zebra® photochromic lens darkens or lightens depending on the light’s intensity. It can change from a light transmission rate of 40.7% to just 6.6%! Its anti-fog coating, directly integrated via laser, guarantees maximum efficiency and long life. Zebra® is recommended for mountain biking, trail biking and climbing.

Photochromic and polarizing, the Camel® lens offers evolving protection, darkens and lightens according to the intensity of the light, provides anti-dazzle protection and high definition vision. The anti-fog coating is ideal for active sports.
Photochromic and polarizing, the Octopus® lens offers evolving protection, darkens and lightens according to the intensity of the light, provides anti-dazzle protection and high definition vision. The water-shedding hydrophobic coating is ideal for water sports.

In addition to the choice of lens materials, Julbo uses leading edge treatments to enhance lens performance in each type of use conditions.
Anti-mist > prevents condensation and ensures maximum lifetime Anti-glare > enhances optical comfort and eliminates parasite reflections Darkening > increases the filtering of visible light Flash > reinforces the filtering of visible light through a mirror effect on the lens Water-repellent > makes water slide off the lens, prevents water molecules from forming hydrogen bonds; visibility is enhanced
