To address the needs of people with various visual impairments, we offer a specialty range of Cocoons featuring special absorptive filters developed specifically for low vision applications. We strongly recommend that you consult your eye care professional or physician when selecting the low vision absorptive filter that will best suit your particular eye condition or visual impairment. Low Vision Cocoons feature unique absorptive filters available in four specific tints and are proven to increase visual acuity when used in conjunction with various types of vision related conditions. Each of the six patented frame styles are designed to be worn over prescription glasses, but can also be worn equally as well as a conventional sunglass.


	BOYSENBERRY General purpose absorptive filter that is great for indoor and outdoor use. The darker tint provides effective glare control. This lens is not designed to block blue light, so it provides minimal contrast enhancement. The lens allows 15% visible light transmission and provides 100% UVA/UVB protection. Blocks all visible light up to 410 nm.			HAZELNUT Reduces glare and provides heightened contrast when used for indoor and outdoor applications. Ideal for variable light conditions requiring both glare control and contrast enhancement. The lens allows 18% visible light transmission and provides 100% UVA/UVB protection. Blocks 98% of blue light and all visible light up to 410 nm.


	LEMON Maximizes brightness and enhances contrast in low light conditions to improve visual acuity. The absorptive filter allows 82% light transmission and provides 100% UVA/UVB protection. Blocks 40% of blue light and all visible light up to 470 nm.			ORANGE Maximizes contrast enhancement by intensifying backgrounds to improve object definition and clarity. The absorptive filter allows 34% light transmission and provides 100% UVA/UVB protection. Blocks 100% of blue light and all visible light up to 520 nm.

All Low Vision Cocoons absorptive filters and side shields are scratch resistant and optically correct. The non-polarized polycarbonate absorptive filters are extremely durable and designed to withstand harsh treatment during daily use. As with all Cocoons, the Low Vision models feature adjustable Flex2Fit temples, Ballistic Nylon™ frames with Soft Touch finishes and 360° of wrap around protection. The side shields are precisely regulated to match the exact light transmission, UV cut off and tint of the accompanying front absorptive filters. All Low Vision Cocoons include complimentary accessories (carrying case, lens cleaning cloth) and a Use and Care Guide.

The sizing guide MUST be printed at 100% actual size, or it will not provide an accurate recommendation of the size that will fit over your glasses. It is important to set your print preferences with the scaling option turned off. This will ensure that the document prints at full size. Use the image of the coin on the sizing guide to verify it printed at 100%. The image should be the same size as an actual US quarter or should measure 24 mm in diameter if you do not have a coin to compare. 3. Hold your glasses face down on the full scale images of each Cocoons sunglass size. If your glasses fit inside the red guidelines, then you can wear that size. If the width or height of your glasses extends outside of the red box, then you will need to try the next larger size.

	Flex2Fit^® Temples Cocoons adjustable Flex2Fit temples are designed for quick and easy manual adjustment of the shape and curvature of the ear pieces. This unique feature allows each wearer to achieve an exact fit that is secure and comfortable during extended wear.

	360° of Protection It is important that a sunglass provides protection from all angles, not just the front. Standard sunglasses can allow up to 40% more unfiltered light to reach the eyes because they do not provide protection from the top, bottom and sides. Cocoons patented frame designs block damaging UV light and glare from all angles (top, bottom and sides), completely isolating the eyes in a cocoon of filtered light.

	Maximum Comfort and Durability Cocoons frames are constructed from Ballistic Nylon™ and feature a supple soft touch finish for the ultimate combination of durability and comfort. Low Vision Cocoons are available in black frames only.
